The colorSENSOR CFO250 is an ideal addition to the controller portfolio of Micro-Epsilon color sensors. The colorSENSOR CFO100 with a measuring rate of 10 kHz and the colorSENSOR CFO200 with a measuring rate of 30 kHz focus on displaying the precise result of the colors and output the measured values with only a few Hz. The new colorSENSOR CFO250 also offers a measuring rate of 30 kHz and now a significantly faster measurement data output of up to 500 Hz with otherwise unchanged characteristics.
In this process, taught colors are compared with the current measurement value, evaluated internally in the controller (OK/NOK) and output with up to 30 kHz switching frequency. Raw data can be provided in Lab or XYZ color spaces at up to 500 Hz via UDP, RS232 or the USB interface. Via a simplified, binary 3-byte protocol, the data is forwarded directly to the PLC, where it can be further processed.
Measurement data output can be continuous or on demand. Corresponding edge or level triggers also control for how long or how many measured values are output.
The colorSENSOR CFO250 in combination with our wide range of sensor heads is particularly suitable for fast processes, e.g. the monitoring of mixing processes such as granulates and powders or in quality inspection in filling plants.
